It is an attractive, small market town and its proximity to Northumberland's National Park ensures excellent local walking. Stone houses, typical of the region, line the town's steep main streets and there is a good range of shops on offer. With a golf course, public tennis courts and cycle hire closeby and a variety of great houses and gardens to explore, including Cragside, Alnwick Castle (home of the Duke of Northumberland), Wallington Hall and a host of famous castles, this great location has plenty to offer. One of two stone built semi-detached cottages situated on a working farm just one mile from the hamlet of Lorbottle in the heart of Northumberland. The setting is secluded and peaceful with lovely views on all sides - The Cheviots to the north and the Coquet Valley and Simonside Hills to the south. The accommodation itself is spacious and comfortable and the properties have lovely gardens. Excellent golf, pony trekking and riding are all available locally.
